Who is

Guilherme Maricato?

Maricato is a Brazilian biologist interested in spatial and behavioral ecology, as well as the effects of climate change on it. He has been working with marine mammals as a model due to their role as umbrella species and sentinels for the oceans and human health. Through spatial analyses, such as Geographic Information System (GIS) and Species Distribution Modeling (SDM), his research focuses on understanding how human activities and climate change can interfere with species distribution and identifying priority areas for their conservation.
